Going against the current wave of virtual events, the tourism section of the Consulate General of Cuba has announced that the 2021 edition of the Cuba International Tourism Fair (FITCuba) will take place, face-to-face, from May 3-8 in Varadero.
Isn't it a daring challenge to plan a face-to-face event these days?
"Yes, it is a challenge in the current context, but we are optimistic," said Carmen Casal Sánchez , director of the tourism section of the Consulate General of Cuba.
The director specifies that the Cuban tourism industry, together with the whole country, is working very hard, very seriously, and in a very responsible way, so that life continues in the current phase of new normalcy.
“We have confidence in the future. We believe that thanks to all the actions and all the protocols implemented by Cuba, we are a safe destination. We are optimistic and very motivated," added Ms. Casal.
The most important travel event for Cuba
The tourism section of the Consulate General of Cuba recalls that FIT Cuba is the most important professional event of the Cuban tourism industry.
"FITCuba is the perfect time of the year to keep up to date with tourist news in Cuba, meet the main players in the country's industry, set new goals, create new projects and share moments. unforgettable with colleagues."
It is also noted that Varadero, the host city for the 2021 edition, is considered among the main destinations for the sun and beach product, taking pride in having some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
