TICO reimburses $15,700 to travellers

This week, TICO’s Board of Directors approved payment of more than $15,700 to assist 12 consumers who did not receive services for which they had paid, due to the closure of three travel agencies.

The three agencies are Amigo Travel Ltd. ($3,123.41) and Sky Asia Travel ($10,320) in Toronto and Mexicana Airlines in Mexico ($2,300).

The Board denied one claim on the basis that the claimants purchased their travel services from an unregistered travel agency.
