G Adventures welcomes new GPS for Alberta market

G Adventures welcomes new GPS for Alberta market

G Adventures has welcomed Ana Santa Maria to the position of Global Purpose Specialist, Alberta.

Santa Maria joins the company from Flight Centre where she spent three years as a travel agent.

Based in Calgary, Santa Maria is responsible for growing G Adventures’ presence in Alberta, supporting agent partners in the market, and working with the community to create new business opportunities.

“I am immensely excited for this new chapter with such an incredible and inspiring team, and I am so proud to be working with a Canadian company that thrives on changing people’s lives through travel,” says Santa Maria. “As a former travel agent myself, I understand the value and benefit of working with the agent community, and their mission to make clients’ travel dreams come true.”

Born in Mexico City, Santa Maria is fluent in Spanish. She has visited 33 countries, counts Hanoi, Puebla and Pamplona as her favourite cites, and credits travel for a lot of her personal growth.

“We are extremely pleased to have someone with Ana’s calibre join our family in Alberta. Her first-hand experience working as a travel professional planning life-changing trips, coupled with her exposure to numerous G Adventures trips, makes her an ideal individual to continue to support our agency partners in Alberta,” says Sean Russo, National Sales Manager.

Former Alberta GPS, Gary Armstrong, is now supporting agent partners in eastern and northern Ontario.

“Gary’s commitment to the community and our style of travel was palpable to our agent partners. We know he’ll bring the same passion and purpose to his agents in Ontario, and continue to grow this area of the business with his signature dedication to agency engagement,” adds Russo.

Agents looking to connect with Santa Maria can contact her at asantamaria@gadventures.com or  (587) 894-3955.
