The G Adventures sales team is expanding to meet the demand for small-group travel that supports local communities, announcing the appointment of a third global purpose specialist (GPS) and the promotion of Erin Rogers to national sales manager.

The new team will be hosting a meet and greet for travel agents on Monday, November 7 at 11 a.m. PST / 2pm EST, where they will introduce themselves, update agents on what is new for 2023, and exclusively reveal the deals for G Adventures’ upcoming Cyber Sale, which launches on Nov. 10.

Changing lives through travel

All three GPS hires come to their roles with existing knowledge of G Adventures, its trips and mission to change people’s lives through travel, and will be led by Erin, who has been with the company for 17 years.

Jenna English now returns to the business in the role of GPS for British Columbia and the Northern Territories after a two-year break from the travel industry.

Hilary Arsenault will be responsible for Quebec and the Maritimes, and Nuppy Mistry will look after the Ontario region.

All three previously worked as global connection officers in G Adventures’ ‘Boombox’ reservations centre in Toronto, and have frontline experience ‘leading with service’ for both travellers and agents.

They all have extensive knowledge of G Adventures’ experiences, and have travelled on many G Adventures tours.

David Green, managing director for G Adventures in Canada, said he’s thrilled to have the combined experience and enthusiasm of the three new GPS team members as the business returns to its pre-pandemic strength, and he hopes as many agents as possible can join to meet them on Monday.

“Our agents have been pivotal to our success over the past 33 years and we especially thank them for their continued support these past three years. I’m thrilled we’re able to offer them even more support, and that we have Erin now leading this team across the country. Erin has proven herself an excellent leader and the four of them together make a formidable team,” said Green.

Rogers said she’s delighted to be able to share her knowledge and experience with the new team as G Adventures rebuilds.

“Jenna, Hilary and Nuppy have hit the ground running in their new roles and their passion for G Adventures and its purpose is unparalleled. I can’t wait for our agency community to get to know them, and for us to keep changing people's lives through travel together as we advocate for a better way to travel post-pandemic,” said Rogers.

1. What is the best thing about working for G Adventures?

I travelled with G Adventures before I worked for the company and witnessed the difference travel can make in people's lives. Something told me G was special, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I am thrilled to share my experiences with others and feel fortunate to work for a company that puts an emphasis on supporting local communities.

2. What do you love the most about your role as a GPS?

I'm most looking forward to building relationships with our agency partners. I can't wait to share my enthusiasm and knowledge of our brand through virtual training and one-on-one conversations, and by providing them with the resources they need to achieve success.

3. Which G Adventures trip do you have your eye on right now?

One G trip I've had my eye on for a few years is the Rajasthan Adventure! I love everything about this 15-day, Classic style tour through Northern India, especially the days exploring the pink city of Jaipur, the safari through Ranthambore National Park, and the Women with Wheels ‘G for Good’ moment!

3. Which G Adventures trip do you have your eye on right now?

This is a hard one when there's so many to choose from! I've had my eye on the Five Stans of the Silk Road for quite a while now, so maybe that will be my next G Adventures trip.

1. What is the best thing about working for G Adventures?

G Adventures has a clear vision and embodies all the core values that I represent in my own life. I always wanted to work for a company that would connect me with people and is passionate about positive change in the world. It’s also important to note that G Adventures is a proud Canadian company with more than 30 years of experience - I am proud to be a part of this next chapter with G Adventures!

I love connecting agents with our trips, the many travel styles and destinations we offer and our mission as a whole. I'm looking forward to managing and building our current relations with agent partners as the world opens up to travel again. Many of our partners are seeing a surge of business and I am excited to be a part of the renewed relevancy of booking via an agent. It’s an exciting transition…travel is back!

3. Which G Adventures trip do you have your eye on right now?

I am an avid wildlife photographer so my eye is on Legendary Wildlife of Rwanda & Kenya 15-day itinerary. I would love to see gorillas deep in the Rwandan mountains, as well as the rare White Rhino on the Mara Plains in Kenya.
