ACV extends COVID-19 insurance to Saskatchewan, ups coverage limit

Saskatchewan residents can breathe a sigh of relief as they are now eligible for Air Canada Vacations’ (ACV) COVID-19 coverage and assistance plan with Allianz Global Assistance.
ACV unveiled its COVID-19 coverage on Aug. 31st and, initially, travellers residing in Saskatchewan were ineligible.

The coverage is included in ACV’s packages to Mexico and the Caribbean is designed to cover emergency medical and quarantine expenses if COVID-19 is contracted while travelling.
It’s available to eligible travellers who book a package on or after Aug. 31, 2020 for travel between Sept. 4, 2020 and April 30, 2021.
Additionally, ACV has also increased the policy maximum amount to $200,000 per insured person per trip (it was previously $100,000).
