Michelle Palma, vice-president of North America Sales at Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, has announced the appointment of Ernie Balint to Strategic Account Manager for Uniworld’s Eastern Canada market, and Peter Nowicki for Uniworld’s Western Canada market, effective immediately.
Balint and Nowicki will be responsible for maximizing sales growth and revenue potential with Canada’s travel agencies and advisors by building upon the strengths of Uniworld’s existing partnerships and developing new opportunities.
After an incredible start to bookings this year for 2022 and onward, the Strategic Account Manager roles will serve to continue driving brand awareness to the Canadian travel industry and public, while working closely with our agency partners in rebuilding their luxury river cruise business.
Based in Toronto, Balint has worked in the travel industry for 10-plus years, previously serving in management roles at travel and tourism company Collette Vacations, and as a Business Development Manager and Regional Manager at tour operator G Adventures.
Balint is an accomplished leader with a passion for going the extra mile. Uniworld looks forward to having him lead on the Eastern Canada Sales team which includes Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.
Based in Vancouver, Nowicki comes from a strong sales background working in the travel and cruise space for over 20 years.
He spent nearly a decade at Crystal Cruises, where he was named ‘Salesperson of the Year’ multiple years in a row and served as the Western Canada Sales Manager.
Nowicki is extremely well known and respected in the Western Canada market. His expertise and passion for growing business sales through genuine customer relations will make him an excellent addition to the Western Canada team covering British Columbia to Manitoba.
