Ian Smyth joins Goway as account manager

Goway is growing its team with the addition of Ian Smyth as account manager in Canada. 

"This is yet another signal that Goway is turning the corner on the pandemic and starting to expand its position within the resurging travel industry," Goway wrote in a press release issued on Wednesday (Dec. 8). 

Smyth has more than 20 years of experience working in the travel industry. He plied his trade with organizations such as Fun Sun Vacations, WestJet, and WestJet Vacations and he has spent the most recent five years working for Norwegian Cruise Lines as their Business Development Director. 

His experience in corporate sales, strategic accounts, and business development will be "invaluable" in his new role with Goway, the company said. 

“As Goway continues to grow our external sales, I’m thrilled to welcome Ian to our team,” said Renee Stanton-Defaria, general manager of Sales at Goway. “With his industry knowledge combined with his strong relationships in the industry, Ian is the perfect fit to join our team and help shore up our presence in the Canadian market.”
