Amanda Morris promoted to Director of Sales – Canada at Playa Hotels & Resorts

Playa Hotels & Resorts has appointed Amanda Morris to the role of Director of Sales – Canada, as announced earlier this month on Dec. 10. 

Morris assumes her new position during a period of continued rapid growth for Playa Hotels & Resorts, with the recent openings of Wyndham Alltra all-inclusive resorts, Tapestry by Hilton Yucatan Playa del Carmen and Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun.

“Since joining Playa Hotels & Resorts as Business Development Manager, Ontario, Amanda has demonstrated tremendous initiative and leadership, especially during the past two years as we navigated through this pandemic,” said Rose Cosentino, vice-president of sales – Canada & EURASIA. 

Amanda’s responsibilities as Director of Sales - Canada will include managing leisure and social/wedding group sales, as well as working with national trade partners.

Amanda has gained tremendous experience as Business Development Manager over the past six-plus years at Playa. 

In Amanda’s new expanded role, she will work to ensure that Canada continues to have a strong and focused presence as the industry marches toward recovery.

Amanda has forged strong relationships with many key retail partners and trade media that well positions her to lead the sales team for growth.
