After more than 13 years at Transat, Christophe Hennebelle has announced that he is leaving the company, where he long held the position of vice-president, human resources and corporate affairs.

“After more than 13 years, I have decided to leave Transat,” Hennebelle wrote on his LinkedIn page on Tuesday (Nov. 29). “It's been a long trip, which has taken me from Paris to Montreal, from 2009 to 2022, from human resources to communication and corporate responsibility.”

In his post, Mr. Hennebelle mentions having gone through several crises during his years at Transat – “including notably the COVID pandemic (one needs to be specific, there was also H1N1...), which joined the easier moments.”

“All in all, it's a pretty impressive sum of enriching events,” he wrote. “And above all, I met many, many great people who helped me develop. I can't name them all, but they will recognize themselves. And I leave behind me, with regret, a wonderful team that I already miss."

Time for new adventures

Mr. Hennebelle added that he now intends to take “a little break to recharge my batteries.”

“I will see you soon for new adventures!” he wrote.

Hennebelle did not specify the nature of his future adventures, but in response to a question from PAX, he said that he plans to stay in Quebec.

“The rest will be announced later,” he said.

The journey

Christophe Hennebelle joined Transat in 2009. He was Director of Human Resources for the Look Voyages subsidiary, then of Transat France from 2009 to 2014, before joining the management team at the head office in Montreal, as Vice-President Human Resources and Talent Management.

He added Public Affairs to his responsibilities in 2016 when Michel Lemay stepped down as Vice-President Public Affairs and Communications.

Since March 2022, he has been Transat’s Chief People, Sustainability and Communications Officer.

Before joining Transat, Mr. Hennebelle held several human resources management positions for two large companies in France.

He holds a master's degree in management and human resources from the EDHEC Business School in Lille, one of the French Grandes Ecoles.
