Some sources report that Club Med plans to renovate and expand its Buccaneer’s Creek property, located in Sainte-Anne, Martinique.

One source, French-Antilles Martinique reports that Henri Giscard d'EstaingClub Med's Chief Executive Officer, presented its expansion and renovation plans to Martinique's various officials and elected representatives last Friday (26 August).

Mr. Giscard d'Estaing spoke about Club Med's commitment to Martinique explaining that the project will help to further enhance Martinique's tourism offerings.

Although the Village has been operating since 1969, it hasn't been renovated since 2004.

It is also expected that the project will create "new direct and indirect jobs, as well as sustain existing jobs, primarily local."

Creation of a new Zen Oasis zone

A new Zen Oasis zone with 56 new rooms, including 20 suites, and a new swimming pool are part of the expansion project.

To improve the team's comfort, 31 employee rooms will be added, along with a redesigned staff restaurant.

Renovations are planned to take place throughout the entire resort, including guest rooms, reception area, bar, theater, spa, and sports areas.

Delivery in November 2024

According to a report by French-Antilles Martinique, an estimated €37 million will be spent on the project over a number of phases, with delivery expected in November 2024.
