After being temporarily closed following an explosion in its boiler room, the RIU Reggae has reopened its doors today and resumed normal operations.
The information was confirmed by Sandra Mallette, business development manager for RIU in Quebec. Last week, a blast in the boiler room of the hotel, located in Montego Bay, led to the death of one employee and serious injuries to several other staff members.
The establishment had been closed for an investigation, with customers relocated to other properties in the chain.
The adults-only RIU Reggae opened Nov. 19, offering more than 400 fully-equipped rooms.
