The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) continues the search for a new President/CEO, almost one year after current president Michael Pepper announced his pending retirement.
TICO’s Board of Directors is encouraging interested and qualified applicants to submit their applications (consisting of a resume and cover letter) to the executive search firm, Odgers Berndtson, by Sept. 22.
Pepper has led the organization since its inception in 1997 and is planning to retire when a successor has been hired and a transition is completed. He had previously announced his retirement, originally planned for July 2014, last October.
More information on the position is available from Amanda Bugatto at amanda.bugatto@odgersberndtson.ca.
In other TICO news, Bradley Talan Edelson plead guilty to two counts of operating as a travel agent without registration, contrary to the Ontario Travel Industry Act.
Edelson, who operated in Toronto and elsewhere in Ontario, faces a total of $3,000 in fines.
A charge against Ariel Santillan was withdrawn at the request of the prosecutor.
