Viva Wyndham Resorts recently reopened its family-friendly all-inclusive Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
In addition to implementing new health and safety protocols, the property is now benefiting from a complete transformation - newly renovated rooms, nature-inspired lobby and spaces, swimming pools, restaurants and bars - after a temporary closure of six months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Guests enter the resort in an upgraded and modernized lobby, and renovations have been made to all standard and superior rooms with colonial and modern-inspired decor and views of tropical gardens and the ocean.
The resort now has four swimming pools. including a new saltwater infinity pool overlooking the beach and the Caribbean Sea, as well as two swimming pools with areas reserved for children.
“The view from the infinity pool is spectacular and complements the plentiful open-air, tropical spaces within the resort while offering guests full restaurant and bar service to completely relax and enjoy their vacation experience,"stated Ettore Colussi, the founder and president of Viva Wyndham Resorts.
The on-site catering has also been expanded and updated with the latest technology to serve local specialties and artisan foods.
The new Tiki Bar, located between the infinity pool and the beach, features swings in a bamboo and thatched-roof nook where you can relax while enjoying choice snacks and drinks.
The new Latin Fusion restaurant offers à la carte cuisine, comfortable seating in an open-air ambience with a backlit thatched roof and modern lighting.
Finally, the buffet restaurant La Terraza, Viva Mexico and La Pizzeria have a whole new decor. The walkways surrounding the resort are plump with lush, natural vegetation and lined with coral stone.
Health standards put in place
Viva Wyndham Resorts has improved its already high standards of hygiene and health, fuelled by its long-standing partnership with Cristal International Services, a global leader in quality management solutions for hoteliers, by adopting additional guidelines set by the World Health Organization and other health authorities. .
