MSC Cruises’ entire fleet of 19 ships is back at sea following MSC Musica’s return to water on Sunday (June 5).
MSC Musica set sail for the first of her planned 23 seven-night summer 2022 voyages to Katakolon in Greece, the Greek islands of Crete and Santorini, as well as Bari (Italy), before she returns to her seasonal homeport next weekend.
It's a big year for MSC Cruises, which will also launch two more ships later this year.
“We are so proud to see our entire fleet back at sea. It has been a challenge given the pandemic, but our industry leading health and safety protocol has put us in a position of strength and confidence, so all our vessels are at sea to give our travel agent partners and their customers what they want, being: relaxing, enjoyable and, above all else, safe cruise holidays," said Ian Patterson, country manager, MSC Cruises Canada. "Additionally, we were the first major cruise line to return to international cruising in summer 2020 as health and safety is paramount for all of us at MSC Cruises which was aptly demonstrated - as we promised last year - with our entire fleet of ships back at sea for summer 2022.”
Despite the global cruise industry’s voluntary shutdown in March 2020, MSC Cruises stuck with its ambitious expansion program and, in 2021, it introduced two new vessels to its fleet, being: MSC Virtuosa and MSC Seashore.
Additionally, the brand will welcome two more ships at the end of 2022 – MSC Seascape and its first liquefied natural gas-powered vessel (LNG), MSC World Europa. Sales for both ships are open now.

Bonus commission for Canadian advisors
The comes as MSC expands its incentives for Canadian travel advisors.
"We are committed to supporting Canadian trade that have been exceptionally impacted over the past two and a half years," Patterson noted in a release last week, announcing that Canadian travel advisors are entitled to a bonus commission of 10 per cent.
This incentive is applicable to all new bookings of all cruises (including the cruise portion of Fly & Cruise packages ) that are made between June 2 and July 31, 2022, for departures through May 31, 2023.
MSC clarifies that bookings involving the redemption of future cruise credits during the applicable booking and sailing window will be eligible for the 10 per cent bonus commission.
However, cruise changes made under MSC Cruises’ Flexible Booking Changes will not be eligible. The offer also does not apply to the MSC World Cruise.
