Just when you think you've 'seen' Mexico, it goes ahead and throws you a curve ball like Los Cabos.
It's a desert, but lush with vegetation. The towering cacti - which never lose their iconic charm - and sharp peaks situated against roiling Pacific waters makes it difficult to know where to look first. It's a unique and beautiful place, and I can't wait to get to know it better.
I'll be spending the next few days exploring the beautiful San José del Cabo as part of the grand opening celebration for Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
The luxury all-inclusive resort, designed for guests of all ages, was first opened in 2013, but suffered significant damage at the hands of Hurricane Odile last year. The property is now open again and better than ever, with innovative re-designs that reflects the distinct nature of its surroundings.
In addition to getting to know the newly finished resort grounds and exploring the surrounding area, I'll also be catching up with the Playa Resorts Management team for an update on their whirlwind year, which has brought a number of Hyatt's Ziva and Zilara properties to Jamaica, Cancun, and Puerto Vallarta.
If you have any burning questions about the property, email newsroom@paxnews.com with the subject line Hyatt Ziva, and I'll do my best to get some answers.
Stay tuned tomorrow and Monday for updates. Adiós for now!
