ClubHotel Riu Negril, reopened, remodeled

The ClubHotel Riu Negril has reopened its doors after an extensive $20 million remodeling project.

The renovated hotel has been redesigned to feature a more contemporary style, as well as new restaurants, bars and areas for younger guests.  

The hotel's 420 rooms have also been remodeled – although their signature wooden furniture has been preserved – and the bathrooms’ bathtubs have been replaced with showers.

All of the hotel's common areas, including the lobby and the reception, as well as the bars, restaurants, pools and gardens were also renovated. All of the bars and restaurants are newly decorated and designed to make them more functional.

The ClubHotel Riu Negril features five restaurants, including the new Asian restaurant Mandalay and the new theme restaurant Kulinarium, which combines Caribbean and modern cuisine with primarily local produce.

As a result of the remodeling project, the hotel now has a new play area for children, which includes a pool with water slides. A new pool joining the existing pools has also been added to the property, for guests of all ages. There is also a new Sports Bar, open 24 hours a day.
