Party time: suppliers host Picnic in the Park in Waterloo, ON

They came, they saw, they picnic’d.

Travel advisors in southwestern Ontario and beyond enjoyed an afternoon of food, fun and quality time outdoors on Wednesday (Aug. 30) as a picnic table full of suppliers hosted a Picnic in the Park in Waterloo, ON.

The inaugural event, held at Waterloo Park, was led by representatives from TTC Tour Brands, Norwegian Cruise Line, Air Canada Vacations, Manulife, Celestyal Cruise Line, and the Switzerland Tourism Board.

Speaking with PAX, Aaron Crawford, a sales manager at TTC Tour Brands, called the day “a hit.”

“We had more than 50 people brave the elements and make it to the beautiful Waterloo Park for our first Picnic in the Park event,” Crawford said. “Everyone enjoyed delicious food and fun activities, like the Switzerland team ski challenge, quality time in the great outdoors…plus some amazing door prizes!”

Wait, what? A Switzerland ski challenge...in the summer? In Waterloo?

“It was a team building activity where everyone needed to stand on skis and move in unison from a starting line. It was a lot harder than it looked!” Crawford said.

All in all, the day was a roaring success. “The team is already looking into planning future events!” Crawford said.
