Images of the yellow sub that will take travellers to unchartered depths of the Indian Ocean have surfaced.
Kensington Tours has released a first-look at the Triton 1000/2 submersible, which will begin operating this March 2019.
The once-in-a-lifetime expedition will take place in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Seychelles, a tropically remote, environmentally protected location.
Capable of achieving depths of up to 1,000 feet (305 meters), the Triton submersible combines cutting-edge oceanic exploration technology with the comfort and security of a passenger craft.
Guest on board are expected to come “face-to-fin” with rare sea life during guided expeditions and be among the first humans to explore the underwater world in this region.
In addition, guests will receive exclusive hands-on activities aboard a working scientific research vessel, have guided tours of remote atolls and stay onboard a 101-foot (31-meter) luxurious private yacht that sleeps eight guests in five rooms, staffed by a crew of five with meals prepared by an onboard private chef.
A limited itinerary
This limited-edition itinerary includes only four departures in March 2019. Trips start from $42,000 USD ($55,581 CAD) per person and each tour accommodates six to eight travellers.
