Singapore Airlines’ only non-stop flight to Canada will soon be no more.
As first reported by Mainly Miles, the airline has revealed that it will be suspending flights to Vancouver as of October 2023, as it “adjusts its capacity in response to demand.”
The information was shared in an official business update released by the airline on Tuesday (Feb. 21).
The carrier restored Vancouver flights for the first time in 12 years in December 2021, starting at first with a seasonal service, which later became a year-round link operating three times per week.
The canceled route marks the second time Singapore Airlines has pulled out of Canada, first eliminating service on its Singapore-Seoul-Vancouver route in April 2009 due to the global financial crisis.
