Ryanair says it will not be offering transatlantic service after all, following reports earlier this week in which the Irish airline was said to have approved plans for low-cost flights between Europe and the U.S.
In a March 19 statement, the airline says that “it has not considered or approved any transatlantic project and does not intend to do so.” The statement follows reports of a plan by the carrier to introduce service between European hubs and U.S. cities, with fares as low as £10 (approximately $19) according to at least one report.
