A new Central American cruise is being offered by GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel and Tours this winter.
The first departure for GLP's eight-day Treasures of Costa Rica and the Panama Canal, offered through Variety Cruises, is on Dec. 14, with future departures extending into 2015.
Taking place aboard a new 36 cabin, 72 passenger vessel, highlights of the trip include a guided walking tour of Costa Rica’s Curu Nature Reserve and Manuel Antonio Reserve; a visit to Coiba Island, Central America’s largest island and a UNESCO World Heritage Site; a tour of the San Blas Archipelago; and a visit to Colon, Panama to finish the voyage.
While normal departures are from Los Suenos-Herradura-Curu in Costa Rica, travellers can opt for a reverse itinerary on some dates and board in Colon, Panama.
