Air Canada's first Toronto-Rio flight departs Pearson

Air Canada has inaugurated its new non-stop service between Toronto Pearson and Rio de Janeiro - Galeão International Airport with the departure of flight AC098 from YYZ last night.

The new year-round service will complement Air Canada's existing daily non-stop service to Sao Paulo, the carrier said.

The three-times-weekly service is being operated with a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, departing Toronto on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
