As part of its "Knowledge Trips" for providing advisors with firsthand destination experience and knowledge, Travel Edge Network recently partnered with Visit Portugal for a six-day immersive trip for nine advisors that included stops in Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais and Madeira.

Highlights included an electric tuk tuk tour around some of the most popular neighbourhoods in Lisboa; walking food and wine tour of Funchal City Centre with a stop at the farmer's market; toboggan ride in wicker baskets; and dolphin and whale watching aboard a private boat.

There were also several opportunities to see and explore the history of Portugal with visits to the Belém area, sight of the famous Tower that serves as the ceremonial gateway to Lisbon, along with the Jerónimos Monastery and the Discoveries' monument.

Travel Edge Network has also hosted previous Knowledge Trips to Rwanda and British Virgin Islands with plans for a trip to Kenya in Spring 2023.

The concept was launched in June 2022 as a critical tool for advisors to achieve success through these custom designed and dedicated educational trips that allow them to gain critical firsthand knowledge of Travel Edge Network’s preferred partners for hotel, air, tour operators and more.
