During its annual conference in Riviera Maya this month, Travel Professionals International hosted six days of site inspections, industry-leading keynote speakers, CTC examinations, and dozens of niche product training sessions for nearly 250 TPI travel advisors.
TPI's six-day training intensive included site inspections of 12 resorts, 15 niche product workshops, 17 travel partner product update presentations, six keynote and panel sessions featuring sales training professionals Meredith Hill and Dave Holt, as well as 32 four-minute travel partner round-table sessions, 19 CTC certification examinations, and ample networking time with fellow travel advisors and preferred partners.
A first-time TPI keynote speaker, Hill was flown to Mexico by TPI to speak to the gathered advisors on the emphasis of paying themselves a proper professional wage to assess and ensure that their businesses remain financially sound. Hill, previously a travel advisor herself, has been running the Global Institute for Travel Entrepreneurs since 2011.
Holt, a regular fixture of TPI's training initiatives with over 22 years of sales training experience, was brought to Mexico by TPI to assist advisors in ensuring they have set a daily plan to work toward their dreams through goal-setting and time management. In addition, Holt moderated two top-producing travel advisor panel interactive discussions.
