Maritime Travel has grown its footprint in British Columbia with the purchase of Elan Travel in Prince Rupert and Terrace, according to a press release issued Wednesday (Nov. 9).
The addition of these two long-time agencies brings to 18 the number of Maritime Travel agencies throughout that province.
“We’re excited to welcome these experienced teams to Maritime Travel,” stated Gary Gaudry, president of Maritime Travel. “Elan Travel has been serving these communities well for more than 40 years, and with their experience in both business and leisure travel, they are a great fit for us.”
Long-time Elan Travel owner George Clark said he was “delighted” to be joining Maritime Travel.
“Maritime Travel is known for its great company culture and for the support of its travel agents. This suits our teams very well,” Clark said.
Headquartered in Halifax, Maritime Travel has more than 90 agencies across the country. The company was recently named a Platinum Club winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
Prior to that, it had been named one of Canada’s Best Managed companies every year since 1998. It also operates as LeGrow’s Travel in Newfoundland and Labrador.
