FCTG's Independent Division announces Uniworld incentive trip, conference in Punta Cana

Flight Centre Travel Group’s (FCTG) Independent Division has announced its inaugural global incentive trip, named “Independent Icons,” which will be for its top 50 independent travel advisors from around the world. 

This event follows in the footsteps of FCTG’s popular Global Gathering event that attracts the top 10 per cent of all Flight Centre staff globally.

FCTG’s Independent division includes Independent by Flight Centre in Canada and Independent by Liberty in the U.S. 

The group currently has more than 1,700 independent travel agencies across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the U.S., and South Africa.

From Budapest to Vienna 

As independent advisors are not employees of FCTG, this faction of the business has decided to create an exclusive event to celebrate their achievements in a different way.

The top 10 advisors from each country will be invited to bring a guest and join a small group of key suppliers and global leaders for a truly special reward trip.

The Independent Division have partnered with Uniworld to completely take over the S.S. Beatrice, sailing along the Danube River from Budapest to Vienna. 

From Nov. 1-5, 2023, this ship will be 100 per cent FCTG Independent-filled and brimming with excursions, local entertainment,  meals, and the opportunity for top performers to connect with their peers from around the world.

This initiative has been very well-received by the network, says FCTG, saying that agents have expressed "joy and enthusiasm" for this new, exclusive reward.

Punta Cana 2023

The Independent Division in Canada and the U.S. — comprising of more than 700 advisors across both Independent by Flight Centre and Independent by Liberty Travel — has also announced its annual conference in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. 

Coined "A New Independent Era," the event will be hosted by Majestic Resorts in May 2023.
